Instead of Bush's War in Iraq, why not a war right here on greed and vanity? by William Marvel
George Bush’s derailed war on terror may mark the first time that a nation has pitted itself against a mere concept. If human vices are now legitimate objects of national belligerence, it is time to mobilize against more common and destructive evils. One would suppose that Mr. Bush’s virtuous yammering might reflect at least token recognition of the seven deadly sins--and the worst of them is greed.
